The North Country Children’s Museum invites children ages 12 and under and their families to get creative at Paint Your Own Pottery, a hands-on ceramics workshop led by local artist Lacy Shatraw. The program will take place in the museum program room on Sunday, January 18, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Coldest Night of the Year – A nationwide fundraiser that helps bring awareness and raising funds for charities focused on homelessness and housing insecurity. Habitat Cornwall is hosting this year’s CNOY locally, and the walk is happening on February 28th, at Lamoureux Park. Meaning of Home contest – This is a Canada wide contest for kids who are in grades 4,5 & 6. Teachers can sign their class up, and participate in the writing contest and have kids write a short essay about what home means to them. We are currently in the promotional period where teachers are beginning to sign their classes up. The contest itself opens in January and closes at the end of February.
