The Potsdam Chamber of Commerce will host Fright Night 2025 on Thursday, October 23rd from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. This family-friendly event has become one of Potsdam’s most loved traditions, drawing hundreds of families for an evening of safe trick-or-treating, activities, and community fun.
Fright Night will once again fill Market Street with candy, costumes, and entertainment. This year, the event will expand down Raymond Street, with additional Trunk-or-Treat stations located at the Market Square Mall, 22 Depot Street. Local businesses, groups, and organizations are encouraged to take part by setting up a trunk, hosting an activity or game, handing out candy at their storefront, or sponsoring candy to help keep the evening sweet.
Costume contests will add to the fun, with check-in from 5:00 to 6:00 PM at JobsRUs, 22 Depot Street. Contest winners will be announced on Market Street at 6:30 PM. Categories include ages 5 and under, ages 6–12, ages 12–18, best family costume, and best trunk.
At 7:00 PM, the Potsdam Dance Company will perform on Market Street, bringing even more energy to the evening.
“Fright Night brings together the entire community in a way that’s fun, safe, and memorable,” said Melanie Flack, Executive Director of the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce. “It’s always amazing to see our local businesses and organizations step up to make the night special for families.”
