Meaning of Home contest – This is a Canada wide contest for kids who are in grades 4,5 & 6. Teachers can sign their class up, and participate in the writing contest and have kids write a short essay about what home means to them. We are currently in the promotional period where teachers are beginning to sign their classes up. The contest itself opens in January and closes at the end of February.  The judging period occurs between February-May and the winners will be announced in May 2026. The winner can win an IPAD and a pizza party for their class. While the closest Habitat affiliate can win $30,000 for their next home build.
