Jon Pardi is revisiting the album that changed everything, adecade after its original release. California Sunrise returns on June 12 as a 10th Anniversary Edition, featuring a refreshed tracklist and a limited vinyl pressing. The updated version pairs the original songs with three previously unreleased cuts—“Drinkin’ and Dancin’,” “If I Had Another Heart,” and “How Did You Know,” the latter already available.

“Ten years ago, I made a record that would unknowingly change my life,” Pardi says. “Since then, it’s been one hell of a ride—my family has grown, I’ve seen the world, and I’m out here living my dream. It’s pretty damn cool to see how much people continue to embrace this project even all these years later. Thankful for the last ten and looking forward to the next.”

When it first arrived in 2016, the triple-Platinum, chart-topping album stood out by bringing a traditional honky-tonk edge back into the mainstream at a time dominated by bro-country. Its blend of twang, romance, and lived-in storytelling helped define Pardi’s sound and contributed to a broader shift toward neo-traditional country.

The record’s impact is still evident in its commercial success. It produced five major singles, all reaching at least Platinum status. Among them, “Head Over Boots” has gone seven-times Platinum, while “Dirt on My Boots” reached six-times Platinum. Other standout tracks include the four-times Platinum “Heartache on the Dance Floor,” three-times Platinum “Night Shift,” and Platinum-certified “She Ain’t in It.”
