*Pfizer Vax to School COVID-19 Clinic in Malone on Thursday*
On Thursday, November 18th, Franklin County Public Health Department will hold a Pfizer Vax to School COVID vaccination clinic for those 12 and older from 2pm-6pm at St. Andre Bessette Outreach Center, 12 Homestead Park in Malone.
This clinic is for first dose, second dose, and booster doses of Pfizer.

Online registration is required. If you need assistance with online registration, please call one of the agencies below. Please bring your vaccination card with you. Wear a short-sleeved shirt, if possible. Be prepared to wait 15-30 minutes after vaccination.

Who is eligible for first and second doses of Pfizer?
Anyone 5 years and older, but this clinic will serve those 12 years and older.
Who is eligible for a booster shot?
COVID-19 vaccine booster doses are recommended for all individuals 18 and older who received the Janssen/Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine at least two months ago. Booster doses are also recommended for certain Moderna and Pfizer vaccine recipients who completed their first 2 doses at least 6 months ago (see additional eligibility requirements below).
You may choose which COVID-19 vaccine you receive as a booster shot. Some people may have a preference for the vaccine type that they originally received, and others may prefer to get a different booster. CDC’s recommendations now allow for this type of mix and match dosing for booster shots. This clinic will provide Pfizer booster shots.
Before registering for a booster shot:
• Have your COVID-19 vaccination card available and,
• Be sure you qualify for a booster dose – see below.
Additional eligibility requirements for booster shots are:
People 65 years and older.
People 18+ who live in long-term care settings. “Long-term care settings” include any location where older adults, people with disabilities or chronic health conditions, or people otherwise needing assistance with activities of daily living receive services or supports. These can include both medical care and non-medical care.
People 18+ who have underlying medical conditions such as:
• Pulmonary Disease, including but not limited to, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), asthma (moderate-to-severe), pulmonary fibrosis, cystic fibrosis
• Cancer (current or in remission)
• Chronic kidney disease
• Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities including Down Syndrome
• Heart conditions, including but not limited to heart failure, coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathies, or hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Immunocompromised state (weakened immune system) including but not limited to solid organ transplant or from blood or bone marrow transplant, immune deficiencies, HIV, use of corticosteroids, use of other immune weakening medicines, or other causes
• Overweight, Obesity, or Severe Obesity
• Pregnancy
• Sickle cell disease or Thalassemia
• Type 1 or 2 diabetes mellitus
• Stroke or Cerebrovascular disease (affects blood vessels and blood supply to the brain)
• Neurologic conditions including but not limited to Alzheimer’s Disease or dementia
• Substance use disorders
• Liver disease
• Smoker, current or former
• Tuberculosis
People 18+ who live in high-risk settings such as correctional facilities and homeless shelters.
People 18+ who work in high settings such as:
• First responders (e.g., healthcare workers, firefighters, police, congregate care staff)
• Education staff (e.g., teachers, support staff, daycare workers)
• Food and agriculture workers
• Manufacturing workers
• Corrections workers
• U.S. Postal Service workers
• Public transit workers
• Grocery store workers
